Silly Stuff: Do we need a slogan?

As Pheobe and I procrastinate on the next Fashion Challenge, I took some time off to goof off. (Hey its hard work doing nothing but I will take the hit for the team!!) While surfing to help market our blog, I found this:

It's Just For Me And My Fashionality.

Can't have enough Jeans!

Who ever said that you can't have enough jeans was so right! I love jeans ... but ... only those with the primmie or sculptie legs. I saw someone post on their blog about their "dryer sheet" issue about jeans which made me think. The Dryer Sheet phenomena has plagued SL long before the dawn of pixelated time (ok so maybe not that long but a really long time). If you don't know what the "Dryer Sheet" effect is ... lemme tell you. Its when you get that goofy little fleshy colored flag that sticks out the bottom of your pants. Now this flag has taken on other colors but more commonly is flesh-toned.
I generally combat this by wearing boots and in appearance mode shortening the jeans. Another solution was to wear the "underwear" layer which also helps when looking to layer other tops or sweaters. With the introduction of well designed primmie and sculptie pant legs, Jeans have become a well worn basic in my wardrobe.
Pictured above in order:
Last Call: Dahlia Jeans (part of outfit)
LF: Penny Jeans [Deep] - Skinny Legs*
LF: Ingenue Jeans. [Dark] - For Heels Leg*
[Decoy]: Promise Jeans - Dark Denim*
G.L.A.M.: "Gold" Jeans in Dark Indigo Wash*
*multiple leg styles are available with purchase.

Great Finds

Luna finally made me change clothes. And, I even ventured out shopping today. I am feeling a little bit better. I decided to see if some retail therapy would help. What helps a girl to feel better? Well, besides shoes....jewelry! So, I was looking for some new jewelry and found my way into Caroline's Jewelry. I was the only one in the shop, just browsing when in walked Caroline herself. She started speaking to me, and I told her how I had been feeling quite blah and was looking for some jewelry to help me feel better. As sweet as she is, she ended up giving me her collection of Square Diamond Rings. They are sold in 2 different sets, and come in 8 different colors. They even have a color change band so you can switch from gold to silver. She said she gave them to me to try to help me feel not quite so blah. And honestly, it really helped. No one has ever just given me something like that. It made me smile for the first time today, and honestly, my day got better and better. Thank you, Caroline, for being so generous and giving. Your random act of kindness will keep me coming back to your store. You don't know how much it meant.

Alone

This isn't going to be a post about fashion. I've entered into the depression phase, and I can't even drag myself out to shop. I haven't changed clothes since yesterday, which usually happens at least once every couple of hours. Sometimes SL can be really lonely. Right now, it feels the loneliest ever. At least Rocco, Roxanne, and baby Balboa are here to keep me company. They are pretty good listeners. Well, Baby Balboa gets a little bored and swims away and hides for awhile, but he always comes back. I wonder if turtles have to deal with things like this? Or, are they like lobsters and mate for life? I wonder where my lobster is?

*Review* Battered Boudoir - Boudoir Maid

Eloria LeShelle of Battered Boudoir dropped on me yet again another deliciously sexy outfit, Boudoir Maid. It comes in four colors (Black, Red, Pink, and Blue) with a sheer top and two sets of her famous thigh high stockings (light and medium sheers). She even announced the new Battered Boudoir with this release. The store no only has a new location but also a has a new look and feel - highly recommend to check it out! Lyanis Sin of SIN shoes designed the sweetest kitten heels to match!

Lashes!!

The other day I was updating my headshots, I didn't realize at the time that I wasn't wearing my prim eye lashes. The shots turned out great. Not until the next day when I reviewed the pictures, I realized the lashes were not attached. Gah! I have a crisis (yes its a crisis!), I have to redo the headshots! Who would have thought this would be so key in making great headshots?! Here is a slideshow of the "no lash" look and a couple of shots with my usual eye lash sets.

My usual places for great eyelash finds: Adam & Eve, Diviant Kitties, and MM Skin.

Great Finds

It's been a lazy Sunday for me. I was hanging out at my house, enjoying the sunshine, when I received a notice from Chai Skins on their new release. I immediately tried on the demo, and the second that I got it on, I had to squeal. I fell love immediately. I IM Luna and tell her she has to take me out shopping quick. She has been raving about Chai Skins for a while now. Telling me how she just can't take them off. The lips are amazing. The perfect golden glossy color. The eyes just pop. And the freckles, don't even get me started on the freckles. I'm sure I won't be taking this skin off anytime soon.

So, my great find for today...
LF Chai Skin - Nutmeg - Cin.

*sigh* I am SO in love.

Luna Jubilee

Luna - that's me! What defines me ... ummm... not really sure. It a continual process of growing and learning ... but for the most part I adore my friends, spending lindens on over-the-top shopping outings and just being that lovable goof-ball chick!

My style is hard to describe - unique, classic, clean-lined, funky, mono chromed ... the list goes on. My closet is packed ... sometime I don't realize what's there. Just like everyone else, there are certain pieces I want, I have to have and I never wear.
Its hard for me to keep my clothes on for more than an hour or so. (ooh get your minds out of the gutter!) I change so often its now a joke with my friends. As I post here, you will witness my own eclectic tastes and the odd or off-center opinions that rattle around in my head.

Note to Pheobe: The Challenge is on! BRING IT! <3

Who is Pheobe Petrov?

I hope that through this blog, you'll be able to get to know me a little better. I love Second Life Fashion, and spend most of my time on the grid exploring new shops and spending my precious Linden on clothes and shoes. I have an insane amount of boots, and can't seem to help myself. I'm quirky and giggly, a bit shy, but a very friendly person. I'm always in the mood for a chat. In order to help you get to know me a bit, I thought it would be fun to answer a few questions.

1. What is your favorite word? Laugh
2. What is your least favorite word? Hell
3. What turns you on? Passion
4. What turns you off? Negativity
5. What sound or noise do you love? Laughter
6. What sound or noise do you hate? The sound of someone in pain
7. What is your favorite curse word? F*ck
8. What profession other than your own would you like to attempt? Chef
9. What profession would you not like to? Being a nurse or a doctor
10. If Heaven exists, what would you like to hear God say to you when you arrive at the Pearly Gates? "Finally, someone I can *really* talk to!"

Welcome!!

Fashionality is our baby ... a forum for us to chat about anything from fashion to boys to whatever is on our minds. The real reason we created Fashionality is to show off our own personal style and vent those crazy ideas we always seem to spew. Pheobe and I seem to have a very similar style but with our own unique twist. Each time we see each other, we either want the LM the other's clothing or already have it, just never wore it that way. Each week we will challenge each other to a fashion duel! We will browse the fashion of SL to find one article of clothing to create our own outfits. Pheobe and I promise to bring our own flair for fashion to the weekly challenges. Our first duel was a huge success ... and hopefully those pics and details will be posted later today. Check back often for the latest and greatest ... and of course our own introductions to this project, Fashionality!
