Give me a challenge...

So, it's Friday.

I know you all want to give me something to do this weekend, and since I'm a bit afraid to ask any of my friends for adjectives (they try to come up with the hardest ones possible) I'm asking all of you dear readers (which could possibly be like 5 people) for a fun adjective to build an outfit on.

Now, let's do go with anything like "tasty, sticky, delicious, etc". Because as fun as those would be, it really hurts my brain to think that "outside of the box". So, give me an adjective to describe fashion.

Now, I know what you're thinking. "Why don't you just give yourself a freaking adjective and not make me have to think of one?" The answer is simple, I wouldn't actually do it unless someone else challenged me to do it. I also would spend the weekend whining to Luna about being bored. So, Luna begs of you, give me something to do.

Happy Friday, you crazy kids!

Plaid Nation

I love a challenge. I was trying to decide what to wear Saturday, and IM'ed Luna for a little challenge. I told her to give me an adjective and I would create a look around it. I wasn't expecting her to give me the adjective she gave me. She responds, without hesitation, "Plaid." Plaid? Really? You just said Plaid? She responds that it was the first thing that popped in her head. I grumbled. That was going to be HARD. Immediately, I thought about a short little plaid skirt, which I found, and will blog at a later time. But, I kept being drawn back to the Plaid Peacoat by Miw. I love the fact that you get 6 different colors, all in one. And I adore the detailing. To me, it just looks like a warm wool jacket. Combined with a pair of jeans, and my favorite booties from Insolence, it's the perfect look for everyday. I threw on a white tank, just to break it up and lighten the look a bit.

What's my favorite way to spend a Saturday in Second Life? Fashion shows, of course! And today is no exception. Today the fashion show I plan on attending will be the *Icing* Fashion Show sponsored by the incredible MAD modeling agency. Miko Omegamu happens to be one of my favorite designers in Second Life. Her clothes have a quiet confidence, that to me is the definition of sexy. I can't wait to see what goodies they have in store. Head on over to KMADD Enterprises at 4:00 SLT. I'm sure it's a show you do not want to miss. Stick around after the show as DJ Kromus Korobase spins some tunes. It's a party you will definitely not want to miss. Dress fashionably: the theme is French Country.

Review: Canimal - Essence Skin

Canimal Zephyr was kind enough to drop on me her recently released skin line, Essence. Each skin tone is named after a different feminine quality: Grace, Charm, Mystery, Lust & Charisma. Each makeup is the essence of another quality such as: essence of snow, sunset, poison. etc. The makeup she shared with me was "Simplicity". It has beautifully smokey eyes and a soft pale lip with minimal blush ... amazingly well done!
Included with each skin purchase are free eyes and some eyebrow sample shapes. The eyebrows and lip colors can be changed in appearance mode. Also, in appearance mode, as an added bonus lip gloss can be easily added or removed. For this review, I decided not to edit the lip or brow. Surely its a great feature allowing the skin to be versatile to match any wardrobe.

Eyes: Canimal - Essence Soul (Blue)
Brow: Canimal - Brow Sample (Gently Rounded)

Lashes: Adam n Eve - Glamour Lashes (long - Black)
Hair: ETD - Tyra (Chocolate Burnt)

Location: Canimal

New Eyes: Burroughs - Limited Edition

I was alittle shocked when Noel decided to take me shopping and for me!? We headed over to Burroughs to see these limited edition eyes inspired by some of the greatest masterpieces. These 12 eyes for each painting were created with amazing accuracy to the color palette. In every purchase there are six sets of eyes - three different flares with two different reflections.
I chose two sets: The Blue Dancers by Edgar Degas and The Escape of Rochefort by Edouard Manet.
Location: Burroughs

The best part of the day...

...is when you're in it.

Cool n' Confident

Sometimes I just need an outfit that is comfy, simply put together but still commands attention. This is was inspired by the Celestial Studios hair, Delish. With the cute sassy updo with trendills hanging down it gives the the look of casual with a sweet hint of girl next door.
For the last few days, I wandered the grid looking for a place for pics. Not until I was out shopping for a bed at Deviant *giggles*, did I stumble on this chair. With the low lighting and my face lamp this snap was just prefect!

Review: PixelDolls

(PixelDolls) LE Feb 2008 : Miranda
Not very often I go running when a designer releases a "limited edition" of anything. Pixel Dolls was and always has been a design house that I have watched, worn and adored.

When I arrived, nearly half the boxes were gone from underneath the three different outfits. Each sign had (what I assumed) 10 boxes to start. I picked the black/white outfit in the middle. At first, I hesitiated since the price was higher than I expected for an outfit I honestly won't wear each piece. The box is packed with chooses and layers! Each outfit had four different styles: nonprim long skirt, assym skirt, long prim skirt, and a short skirt (shown). I choose this one since I tend to wear jeans more and more ... this top would look best and the most versatile.

Overall, I do enjoy this outfit but the price - not so much.

My Turn! My Turn!

Just to saturate the fashion blogs ... I wanted my turn with the [Aden] WindBlown hair. One too many bloggers shared their pics and have given details ... but did anyone actually give a "review" (forgive me if you were the one that did!).
I love the look of this style not only due to the "uniqueness" but its so great for snaps. Now, with that being said, I don't see many walking around the grid with this hairstyle. Maybe if you were a mime in a windtunnel it would good ... but for me in my normal routine not the first choice. Who really wants to have that "fresh out of the windtunnel" look? Right?

I make this look GOOD!

I guess we found our challenge.

Kiss It!

You and your bunnie luva can kiss it, Pheobe!

Like my manties?! They are from Hang The DJ! and called "Days of The Week Fundies!". When I saw these, I just had to get them! Its a terrificly priced phat pack with undies in the pants and undies layers. Jhuzen Ketsugo, the owner and designer behind Hang The DJ!, is a super fab fashion chica herself and now is dabbling in her own fashion line. We wish her all the bestest!!

Luna wanted a post...

[19:44] Pheobe Petrov: I'm humping the bunny.
[19:44] Luna Jubilee: bunny humpin' makes it all better
[19:45] Pheobe Petrov: sometimes, if I could just get close enough.

Ok, challenge coming soon, if Luna will get off her ass and choose something.

Silently Judging

Reorganizing inventory is my least fav thing. What I depise most about this chore lately is I keep stumbling over all those Last Call (LC) outfits and all the ETD hair. While at the sales, fighting the lag bald and half nekkie, I bought nearly three-quarters of the stores as my linden wallet started smokin'.For the last week or so, these new buys have just sat in a generically and appropriate named folder in my "closet" called "Sale Shit". (yeah real original but I'm not that smart to come up with anything fancy.)That folder became the sitting pink elephant. Today was the day, to tackle said elephant! Not even a third of the way thru, I lost interest. To cheer myself up, I decided to go shopping but not at LC or ETD (anywhere but, please!).As I stood in the middle of a store, looking around, it dawned on me - I am wearing LC just like everyone else! Those not dressed in clothes from LC or ETD, are they silently judging me and those that are? I know I do when I spying someone in head-to-toe LC or their new ETD hair. That "judging" quickly fades when sl-reality hits that I too will be wearing that same exact item ... and LOVE IT!! Lesson learned: Buy it all ... and wear it proudly people!!
