Review: Seldom Blue - Isabella

slu
IndigoBlue Dagostino dropped me a little gift this morning, and it was something I wasn't sure I'd ever review.  A wedding gown.  Isabella, to be exact.  I opened the folder, thinking that I would try it on and think, "Ehhh, it looks like a wedding gown."  But when I got the dress on, I loved it!  The lace detail is perfect.  The dress is available on every layer, which is fantastic, it includes a tiara (Hello, princess!), veil, and earrings that are just adorable.  I put the dress on, chose an updo, and actually felt beautiful.  Everything about this dress is amazing.

After taking the pictures, I decided to head over to Seldom Blue to check out the store and get the price of the dress.  IndigoBlue has a small store, with some other absolutely gorgeous gowns.  She also has other clothes and swimwear.  I'm going to definitely head back when I have some more time to browse.
I have to admit that when I finally found the ad for Isabella and clicked to find the price, I thought there might be some mistake.  I thought it might be missing a couple of zeros.  After I picked my jaw up off the floor I saw the sign that says it's marked down for a limited time.  Everyone, this gorgeous wedding dress is $20 L.  Yeah, I know you're as shocked as I am.

Head out to Seldom Blue, take a look at the small collection of wedding gowns and clothing.  I believe IndigoBlue is a designer to watch!

Spotlight: SLink

Some of my favorite skins come from SLink and when I saw that they had a new release and a brand new mainstore, I couldn't wait to head right over and check it out. I absolutely love their new mainstore. It' a lovely beach setting that's so peaceful and comfortable feeling. I love stores that are interesting and make me want to spend hours there.

I absolutely love Siddean Munro's latest release. The button down shirt, with amazing details is absolutely perfect for summer, and will take you right into fall. The shirts come with a prim collar and cuffs. The cuffs even have adorable little buttons on them. Absolutely perfect. It's available on every layer, and even come with a tucked in sculpty. What a neat idea! The shirts are available in black, gold, teal, white, grey and red, for $200 L each, or the fat pack of all colors for $600 L. This is such an amazing deal, I couldn't pass up the fat pack!

The pants I'm also wearing here are another new release. When I saw these in the store I knew I needed them. The colors are so rich and even have an adorable buckle on the pants. They come in the pant and underwear layers (which makes me so so happy!) and have perfect prim bottoms. The luscious rich color are black, green, red, brown, white and teal, and are sold for $230 L. These are also offered in a fat pack of all colors for $690 L.

The next item I chose was the Ruched Blouse and Pencil Skirt Set in Turquoise. I'm a sucker for a pencil skirt, especially with an adorable high waist and thin belt. Chocolate is a hot neutral right now and can be paired with so many colors. This set comes in bone, lavender, lilac, lime, red, stormclouds, and of course turquoise. The sets are sold for $250 L each or the fat pack for $875 L. If you're anything like me, you'll have trouble choosing which color is your favorite.

While you're there, check out their skins, shoes, and growing line of accessories. I know that once you visit, SLink will be a store that you're sure to visit often.

(Review) PXL Creations

Hart Larsson sent me over his latest release, Crys, to review. I had heard many people gush over PXL Creation skins, but I had never tried them on for myself. I can't believe I hadn't tried them earlier! I love them!

I'm usually drawn to sunkissed skins, so when I heard he was releasing these skins in a sunkissed tone, I immediately knew now was the time to try them out.
I love the way the skin looks very natural. Crys is available in 2 skintones, and they all come with or without freckles. I'm a sucker for freckles, and love it when skin designers off them in their skin packs. Sometimes I just like that freckled look, but I love to have the option. The freckles on this skin are really well done, very natural. All skins come with black and brown brows.

I love the dramatic eyes and bold lip colors. But, even the natural eyes and natural lips are amazing. With each new makeup I was trying on, I was loving it more than the previous one. This will be a skin you'll be reaching for them all because you just can't choose your favorites.

Crys skin singles are sold for $1500 L. All eyes in one lip color is $5000 L, and all lip colors in one eye is $6000 L. Head to PXL Creations and pick up a demo, I'm sure you'll love them as much as I do.

Thank you Hart, for sharing your newest skin release with me. You've definitely have a new fan!

Spotlight - Decoy

A couple of weeks ago I attending a fashion show showcasing Tuli Skins, Decoy, and Dernier Cri hair. I've always been a fan of Decoy, their jeans being some of my favorites, so I knew that I'd absolutely love the newest designs for summer. I was blown away by all the bright colors. They're so rich and vibrant it just makes me think of laying by the pool.

Yesterday I had a chance to make it over the store. The clothes are so bright and sunny they just make me smile. I put them on for my photoshoot and haven't taken them off since. I don't expect to take them off anytime soon, either.

The thing I love about the newest releases is that they can all be mixed and matched to create so many different looks. The jean capris (which happen to be some of my favorites in SL), the flowy tops, cute little belted cropped jackets and swimsuits, just seem to work together perfectly.

I love the Sanrio bikini ($135 L), shown here in Storm. I love the fact that it looks like you've just wrapped a scarf around yourself. The textures are so rich, I can almost feel them. I love that there's also a tank included, so not only can you wear it as a bikini, but as a tankini for a little more coverage. The tank goes perfectly with the City Breeze shorts ($100 L). Slip the shorts on over the bikini and you have the perfect outfit.

I also picked up the Manzano halter in Ruby ($115 L). I fell in love with this color in the store. I'm always trying to get a wider array of colors, and this was a color that I didn't have much of in my inventory. There are so many colors to choose from, you're sure to find your favorites. The thing I love the most about this halter is that the prim ruffles fit pefectly. No adjusting needed, and it just looked so natural.

There are so many more gorgeous things at Decoy, stop everything and head there to check it out yourself!

Wednesday

Wednesday, originally uploaded by Pheobe Petrov.

Today's outfit started with these amazing Pants/Shorts from Inimitably Design. I stumbled across this store after someone dropped me the landmark. I spotted an adorable girl wearing these pants while Oscar and I were listening to one of my favorite SL musicians, and she was gracious enough to point me in the right direction. I absolutely LOVE these pants! I combined it with a sheer shirt over a black bra. Just the right amount of sexy. I'll be heading back to Inimitably Design soon to check it out further, you might just see a spotlight post on this store soon.

New Releases: House of Heart

Sheltered Heart dropped me a whole folder full of her new releases to review. I had seen a few of her designs around the grid. These were a bit different then what I usually wear, but very fun to play around with. I chose 3 of her new releases.

Una is an exaggerated Victorian up do, very full and with lots of bouncy curls. I love curls, and I love the way it moves. I chose this updo to wear with my new release from Kunglers couture line, Paris. Shown here in black.

Tuli is a windblown style about shoulder length. The hair was inspired and named for her friend Tuli Asturias. This style is one that quickly became my favorite. This could very easily be a day-to-day staple. Shown here in brown.

Magika is a fringed style, half up-do half down do. It was named after her good friend Sabina of Magika and inspired by her. My picture just can't do this one justice, you've got to try it on. Shown here in glow.

The prices for single packs are $195L for 5 colors. Double packs are $290L and have 10 colors. Kit and Kaboodle packs are sold for $700L. Each style has demos to try which are available for free. House of Heart also offers jewelry, handbags, and have just started designing shoes. They also have skins available at the main location.

Visit House of Heart and check out their growing line of goodies.

New Releases: Kunglers

You know how you feel when you try on a dress and you just feel really pretty? That's how I felt as I slipped into the newest dress, Paris, from Kunglers' couture line. This dress makes you feel like you're wrapped in feathers. The colors in the dress are bright, reminding me of a peacock's feathers. The delicate feathers cascading around your neck, the hint of skin around the midriff, which shows just enough to make a statement. Wearing this dress and walking into an event is sure to turn heads. And, as you gracefully slide across the floor, you're sure to smile, knowing that every eye is on you. This dress is sold for $449 L.

The next release is Louise. I love the black and white striped pattern. The detail on the bodice is the same great quality that the Kungler sister's produce week after week. What I love the most about this dress is AvaGardner and Barbra also include a matching bangle and necklace. There's a long and short version of pearls, which look adorable worn together as I have here. I love how they offer so many options and so many ways to combine and wear with different outfits. At $299 L, you get so much for your money. This is one of the reasons that these sisters are quickly becoming a favorite designer.

Visit them at Kunglers and take a look at the rest of their gorgeous, growing collection.

Spotlight: Pink Outfitters

I stumbled across Pink Outfitters yesterday, and the second I walked into the store, I was in love. London Dailey has a small, but incredibly cute collection of dresses, t-shirts, pants and shorts. I wanted to buy at least one of everything in the store, but I resisted. I tp'ed home and tried my new purchases on immediately and I was blown away. Her seams are flawless. I mean, flawless! Her textures are rich. I'm very much impressed!

The first item I spotted were the Producer pants. They are available in so many different colors, but I immediately saw the berry shade and knew I had to have them. I'm a sucker for pink. These pants come with prim cuffs and are sold for $145 L, which is a great price for the quality of work. I paired it here with the Fly, Fly graphic tee. London has a whole line of tees, which are sold for $95 L.

My next outfit started with the French Scoop Neck in black. As we all know, stripes are really hard to pull off in SL, but she really did an exceptional job. The seams are perfect. It comes in lots of different colors and are sold for $100 L. I paired the sweater with the Trouser shorts in Red Wine. Like I said in my last post, I'm on a big trouser short kick and seem to be gathering a small collection of them in just about every color. These trousers are sold in a solid and a print, which means 2 shorts for $160 L.

I highly suggest making a trip to Pink Outfitters and checking out her collection. I know that I can't wait to see what future releases London has up her sleeves!

Spotlight: Frozen Turquoise Valentine

I had heard about FTV a few months ago, but had never made it out to the store to check them out. A few weeks ago I was wandering around the Velvet sim at their grand opening and was pleasantly surprised to FTV had a store on this sim. I made my way in and was kicking myself for not having visited it before.

I was immediately drawn to the Punk Glam outfit. It's a little punkier then I usually dress, but I love to try different looks. One of the things I love about Second Life is that it allows you to be anyone you feel like being that day. One of the things I love about this dress are the awesome tights that are included. They are so edgy and fun! I paired them with a pair of boots, and it was just perfect for my edgy look for the day. The dress is a basic black babydoll with silver accents. At $250 L, it is a great addition to any wardrobe.

The next outfit I picked up was the London outfit. This outfit is more of my traditional everyday look. I love the shorts, especially for summer. The cute little accent buttons on the shorts are just adorable too. The top is in an amazing plaid with a neutral color combination. I love the neck and the sexy cut out. It gives it that little sexy look without taking it too far. This outfit is sold for $300 L, and I know I'll be wearing each of these pieces in so many different ways, it is a great deal.

If you haven't been to Frozen Turquoise Valentine, I definitely recommend you stop by and check it out. I know you'll love it as much as I do.

Spotlight: Skin Flicks

A few weeks ago, I saw the most beautiful pair of black linen pants on the fashion blog. I immediately made my way to Skin Flicks in search of them. They fit perfectly, were a great price, and I didn't take them off for days. Skin Flicks has quickly become one of my favorite stores. The clothes are definitely my style, so when I heard that this store would be featured in a fashion show by JM Models, I knew I had to go. It was an amazing show. There were so many amazing designs that I had to make a special trip to the store this week to make a few more purchases.

The first look is the Paige Lace and Linen in Brown. These capri pants in brown are adorable and can be worn so many different ways. I love to buy outfits that I can take the pieces and create many different outfits. The pants, adorable lace top and brown belt are absolutely perfect key pieces for any wardrobe. This outfit comes in brown (as shown), black, blue, pink, and gold, and is $300 L.

The next dress that I chose is the Flirtable Cocktail Dress in blue, and this dress is flirty! I absolutely adore it! The texture on the top of the dress is amazing. The colors are so rich, and the prim skirt pieces fit perfectly. The little bow on the belt is perfect, not too much, just enough. It comes in so many different colors, it was hard to choose which one I wanted! The available colors are blue (as shown), black, gold, teal, red, purple, and maroon, and is $300 L.

I look forward to seeing more from Mavis McGettigan.
