Boardroom Broad
This look is not too far off from my RL suits ... just minus the red and the fishnets. Kinda laughable is that I have a huge red totebag for my laptop!
Red can be a such a "in your face" statement for any meeting. The color denotes overing powering and strength, but not in a good way. Touches here and there are ok just not full head to toe. Basic black as the highlighted color with just slight hint of red and sexay fishnets give a hint of feminity and flirtyness ... both qualities never seen nor should be seen in board meetings. This is SL after all ... and generally anything goes!

Let's chat about this outfit's accessories. Each has an added bonus! The sunglasses are from *booN, which I think is another Japanese designer. They can be worn on the face, chest, and on the hip (shown) *and* the frame color can be changed. Another cute find was at ETD. A recently released bag and is packed with an AO from TorridWear with adorable bag hold poses. Ok ok, enough of my ramblings, here's the details:

Fashion Meets Mob Justice
I started thinking how my RL fashion sense drives my SL fashion tastes. The clothes I wear in RL are pretty standard name brand stuff (sorry no cheesey name dropping). In RL, I too drool over some of the higher end name brands like most others ... and even own bags, shoes or apparel from these yummy designers.
The thing for me in SL is that I can easily pickup the latest trends at the "brand name" stores ... we all know the stores with awful lag and potential mayhem when new releases are finally for sale.
Lately I have seen and heard stories of SL designers taking inspiration or even making exact replicas of RL fashion. This is what makes SL that fantasy escapism that we all enjoy!
I've heard of designers getting heat for introducing RL product in SL. Yet, I see blog posts about other designers doing that very thing ... and yet no mobs have gathered outside their stores with pitchforks and torches calling for their demise. Interesting.
Surely I will be attacked for this post ... and so be it!! Its how I'm perceiving the SL fashion world and the so-called "fashionistas". By-the-way, I don't call myself a fashionista ... I'm just a chick prostrate to the SL fashion gods with her lindens in hand!

Press Release: gBay brings auctions to Second Life
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
gBay is now open at the Givenchi Garment District in Second Life. Residents can take advantage of gBay's exclusive gBox technology to securely auction unused inventory items to the highest bidder.
gBay owners, gBay Destiny, Steve Crowley, and GiveMeABig Oh believe that simple auctions for Second Life residents was a missing part of the Second Life economy. They hope this will allow residents to "clean out their closets" and earn some Lindens along the way.
"For the buyer, its an opportunity to find a designer outfit or some other expensive item for less. Remember, used items in Second Life are as good as new. Things don't wear out," explains gBay Destiny.
gBay's system will not allow residents to resell items unless the resident has transfer permissions on the item. "There are many items that you can not auction because you don't have permissions to transfer the asset to another avatar. We do no want to encourage or facilitate theft," explains Steve Crowley, gBay's chief programmer and owner of Sigma Chi Products.
Similar to other online auction systems, gBay charges a nominal listing fee and takes a commission on the final auction price. Bidders pay at the time of bidding, and are refunded their bids automatically when outbid by another resident eliminating the need for the seller to chase down buyers for payment. When an auction ends, the auction item is automatically delivered to the winning bidder, and payment is sent to the seller.
"We're very excited to bring this type of transaction to Second Life," notes GiveMeABig Oh who is also the owner of Bodies by Oh! To learn more, visit gBay on Givenchi.

Putting My Foot Down!
Friends, Romans, countrymen, lend me your ... shoe designers?!
I can't stand this any longer ... I need new places to find shoes! Can I put a call out to shoes designers - I want a simple classic heel ... nothing chunky, no bows, flowers, and certainly no bling options.
Shoe shopping is making me curse like sailor ... poor sweet Pheebs is subject to my shoe rants ... if not for me ... save our loverly Pheebs and let me find good shoes!!
Leave me comments - tell me where you find your shoes other than the well-known shoe designers ...

Skin Fair ... sorta
Browsing became more comparing to the skins that I already own. I really didn't see many skins that gave me that "oh I have to buy" and not many that I haven't seen before the Fair. Did I miss those new skins? Maybe... but! I did find a cool "new-to-me"designer.
La Sylphide has some gorgeous skins that I am thinking about purchasing. At the main store, I found this freebie skin and got inspired! If her freebie sparked this outcome, then just maybe I will get a few of her not-so-free skins.

Press Release: KMADD Event
TheZoo designer Froddo Beck has cornered the market when it comes to the adventurer style. The clothes are simple yet wearable, perfect for the man who wants to ‘blend in’ with his surroundings. As the company tag line says, there is no fur, and the colours are not loud, opting more for more muted earth tones. Stylistically, think of a modern-day Indiana Jones but not costume-y or gimmicky. According to Froddo, “TheZoo is not about printing animal textures on the outfits, it’s about the wild (nature) side of life.”
TheZoo offers high quality clothing, with shirts, jackets, and pants seamless from every view. Images used are 1024px textures, and clothing items are always packaged as a complete adventurer outfit. Whether a true nature adventurer or an urban jungle explorer, any man would find designs from TheZoo a welcome addition to his wardrobe.
DJ Kromus spins the tunes for the after-party at 5:30pm SLT. Close your eyes, let go, and prepare for the adventure of a lifetime!
